Sakchha: Bridging Local Talent to the Global Workforce

The Woman Entrepreneur and the Enterprise

"Our main mission is to create more jobs in Nepal, " said Samantha Shah, the co-founder of Sakchha. Founded in June 2020 during the height of the pandemic, Sakchha offers training in information technology, operations, data entry, and accounting. Their goal is to prepare fresh graduates with skills relevant to the global market, focusing on roles that provide international exposure without the need for travel. "Just the energy of the people and seeing that everyone has a purpose really drives me," said Shah of the workers that Sakchha supports.

Experience in the program

Upon joining the program in Nepal, Shah connected with other women entrepreneurs, gleaning insights from their journeys. "[The experiences with other women entrepreneurs] really encouraged me," she said, adding that the program's mentorship enhanced her confidence and broadened her expertise in domains like global marketing.

Achievements and impact of program

Shah highlighted the pivotal role that the program played in her entrepreneurial journey. Through weekly sessions with her mentor, she crafted strategic plans to drive the growth of Sakchha. This mentorship - a first of its kind for her - was invaluable in ensuring alignment with her vision and business model. The program also provided ample networking opportunities with various partners and women-led initiatives in Nepal. Interacting with fellow entrepreneurs gave a fresh perspective that helped shape her business direction. Shah strongly believes in the program, seeing it as a vital tool for women entrepreneurs. She urges other women who also want a platform for mentorship and collaboration to take advantage of this opportunity.
